Desert foxes and blackbucks at Tal Chhapar
Join me on my visit to Tal Chhapar in April 2024, where my initial goal was to photograph blackbucks. However, as nature often does, Tal Chhapar had its own plans, and I spent much of my time observing the antics of desert fox pups at a den. I’ve been photographing desert fox pups since 2012, and this is by far the boldest litter of pups I’ve seen. During their two months, pups depend entirely on their parents, both of whom are involved in rearing the pups. As they grow older, these pups spend more time outside the den, till they are ready to leave and go their own way. I also captured interesting blackbuck mating behaviour. As always, I couldn’t photograph everything, so I'll be heading back soon.
